General Hospital spoilers tease that the news came out this week that Brandon Barash is no longer playing Stefan

DiMera on Days of Our Lives and his last airdate was Monday, October 28th. While that’s terrible news for DOOL

fans, it gives General Hospital fans hope that perhaps Barash could return to the role of Johnny Zacchara.

Barash played Johnny from 2007 to 2016 before he joined the cast of DOOL when Johnny went to prison. Perhaps now that Barash is no longer on contract at DOOL, he could return to General Hospital.

General Hospital Spoilers – Several Port Charles Residents Have Been Released From Pentonville Recently

Johnny may currently be locked up, but that doesn’t mean he will stay in prison forever. Other Port Charles residents such as Steven Webber (Scott Reeves) and Heather Webber (Alley Mills) have both recently regained their freedom after being incarcerated for years.

Johnny could certainly follow suit. And he definitely could have unfinished business in town, especially with Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard). Johnny and Sonny were part of rival mob families before Johnny went to prison.

GH Spoilers – Johnny Zacchara Could Return To Mob Life!

Sonny really hasn’t had a rival since Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober) tried and failed to take Sonny’s territory a few years back. Johnny could certainly fill that void and even threaten an all-out mob war against his rival.

Or Johnny could go a completely different route and embrace a life on the straight and narrow. Perhaps he will return to the music business, and even offer Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali) an opportunity to showcase her previously unknown singing talents.

General Hospital Spoilers – Lulu Spencer May Need A New Love Interest!

Lulu Spencer (Alexa Havans) will finally wake up from her years long coma any day now.

Eventually, she will likely reunite with Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna), but Dante is about to lose the current love of his life, Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco), so any potential reunion with Lulu will likely be way down the road.

Meanwhile, Lulu could easily reconnect with Johnny as they both reacclimate to life in Port Charles. This could set the stage for a compelling love triangle down the road between Dante, Lulu and Johnny.

Johnny was also previously involved with both Olivia Falconeri (Lisa LoCicero) and Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms). Johnny still has a lot of ties to Port Charles.
