Emmerdale has revealed a change for Home Farm, as Kim Tate made a big decision.
Last night, Dawn Fletcher spiked Kim’s coffee with ketamine in an attempt to get the truth about her father’s death. Kim hallucinated a conversation with her late husband Will Taylor, before she passed out and was rushed to hospital.
Dawn was surprised when Joe Tate lied to the paramedics for her and, after an argument with her husband Billy, she and Joe shared a kiss. Meanwhile, Kim also lied to protect Dawn and they decided to move on from the incident.
In tonight’s (January 10) episode, Dawn tried to cover up her actions and arranged a secret meeting with Joe. The pair agreed to pretend nothing had happened between them and Dawn attempted to smooth things over with Billy.
When the couple returned to Home Farm, they were shocked to find Kim already back, as Joe had picked her up from the hospital. Kim revealed that the doctors had told her to take it easy and shared a surprise decision.
“To alleviate the burden that I will undoubtedly be putting you all under – possibly on purpose – Joe’s moving in,” she said. “On the condition that that’s okay with everyone,” Joe added.
Kim explained that she felt it was important to “keep the family together”, adding that Joe was part of their family. She asked Dawn and Billy if they were okay with the decision and they reluctantly agreed.
Later, Dawn questioned Joe about whose idea it was for him to move into the house. She scoffed when he told her it was Kim’s idea. “You think I’m here because of you, is that it? One kiss from Dawn is enough to make a man just need to live with her?” he replied.
Dawn continued to quiz him about his intentions for moving in but Joe shrugged off the interrogation, insisting he wasn’t trying to ruin her family.
After their flirty conversation, Dawn considered approaching Joe in his bedroom. She hesitated at his door, but left without going in. Meanwhile, viewers saw Joe lying on the floor inside, struggling to breathe.
