After yelling at “Rafe” and smacking him around, Jada vented to Shawn on the February 13 episode of Days of our Lives. Shawn was sympathetic. And we all know what that means on daytime! But are we looking at just a hookup or a possible long-term pairing? Here’s why both could be lots of fun.

One Night Stand

Revenge is always a noble goal on a soap opera. Jada (Elia Cantu) wants to prove to “Rafe” (Galen Gering) how much she doesn’t need him, and Shawn (Brandon Beemer) has the same message to send to Belle (Martha Madison). Can you imagine their faces? Jada and Shawn sure can! We bet that’s exactly what they’ll think about if/when they get together. There will be a foot race to see who can get to their ex to spill the beans first. And then they’ll shake hands, maybe toast to a job well done, and move on with their lives. Unless….Jada and Shawn.

Go the Distance

We see potential on this being an actual relationship. Sure, “Rafe” won’t care. He’ll actually be pleased since it will get Jada out of his hair. We, on the other hand, look forward to Shawn continuing to report to “Rafe.” He might get a sense that all is not on the up and up. He’ll bring his concerns to Jada. They’ll team up to bring Arnold down. Then the real Rafe (Galen Gering) will have the chance to get truly upset about his fiancee “cheating” on him. Now we’ve got drama! And a triangle where no one is the bad guy.

Messy Mass

But if Arnold turns on EJ (Dan Feuerriegel), we’ve got an even better story! Shawn’s ex-wife is sleeping with the guy who broke up Rafe and the woman Shawn is now sleeping with. Might Belle have a reason to keep EJ’s involvement a secret? How about Shawn? Might they team up? Might Rafe try to break up EJ and Belle as revenge? Could Jada try to break up EJ and Belle as revenge — by using Shawn? Might Shawn and Rafe team up to bring down EJ while battling over Jada? This could get very soapy!
